It ensures that survivors can leave abusive relationships without losing access to their mobile service or compromising their privacy.

Our customer service representatives are specially trained to guide survivors through the confidential process of separating their phone line from an abuser’s account, ensuring privacy and security every step of the way.

How to Apply for Line Separation

Survivors can request a line separation in person at a Union retail store, by phone, or by email safeconnections@unionwireless.com. The application is confidential, and only those directly involved in processing the request will have access to your information.

Information Needed for Your Request

To begin the process, please provide:

  • A statement indicating your desire to initiate a line separation
  • The line(s) to be separated and those belonging to the abuser (phone numbers, if available)
  • Survivor and abuser names
  • Preferred contact method
  • Representative’s name and contact (if applicable)
  • Any available documentation verifying the abuse (such as affidavits, police reports, court orders, or official records)
What Happens Next?

Once your request is received:

  • Union will immediately protect your account from unauthorized access or changes
  • We may contact you for any missing information
  • After completion, your line(s) will be moved to a new account within two business days
  • You will be notified before the former account holder is informed of account changes
  • Survivors are not liable for previous balances or remaining device payments on separated lines
